When you’re asked to chart out the nation’s next decade, you don’t ask people to believe. You give them reasons to hope.

At the ripe old age of 60, Singapore was due its own mid-life crisis. Disillusionment over the ‘Singapore Dream’, concerns over cost of living, questions about national identity; the new generation of national leaders certainly had their work cut out for them.

Our ask was to communicate new policies. We came back with a film anthology that Singaporeans would see themselves in – imperfect, stubborn, hopeful and above all, hopeful.

This is a selection of personal favourites from that series.
